Refused applications

Review of a refusal, and advice on whether to appeal, reapply or seek judicial review.

If you have been refused, the first task is finding out why, which usually means requesting the officer's notes (the GCMS notes) through an access to information request. From there the honest answer is one of three: reapply with the gap fixed, appeal where an appeal is open to you, or accept that this particular route is closed and look at a different one.

We will tell you which of the three applies to your file, including when the answer is the third, because a paid application we do not believe will succeed is not a service.

You will need:

  • The refusal letter
  • Everything that was submitted in the original application
