What Our Licence Permits
In Canada, only a lawyer, a Quebec notary, or a consultant licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants may charge a fee for immigration advice or representation. Anyone else doing it is committing an offence, whatever they call themselves.
Jermaine Jackson holds licence R708973 at Class L3, RCIC-IRB. That is the unrestricted class. It permits advice and representation on any matter under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Citizenship Act, and it permits appearing before every division of the Immigration and Refugee Board. Practice before the Board has been a restricted area since July 2023, and most consultants hold the restricted class instead, which means they must hand a file over if it reaches a hearing.

How We Charge
Consultations are paid and booked in advance. If the assessment shows you do not have a viable case, we say so in that consultation rather than selling you an application that will be refused.
Where we take a file on, you get the fee in writing before any work starts, separated from the government fees, which we do not mark up.
