Program Objective
The primary objective of this program is to:
• Bridge skilled international graduates with Germany’s food processing labor demand

Target Candidates
This program is open to applicants who meet the following profile:
• Ugandan nationals
• Hold a Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Technology or a closely related field
• Graduated within the last five (5) years
• Have prior exposure or experience in food or meat processing (factory work, internship, or industrial training)
• Are proficient in English (German language not mandatory at entry level)
• Male candidates are preferred due to the nature of placements (approximately 90% male, 10% female)
Nature of Work
Successful candidates will be placed in German food processing companies, mainly in meat processing plants, where duties may include:
• Food and meat handling and processing
• Operating basic processing and packaging machinery
• Quality control and hygiene compliance
• Adhering to food safety and workplace regulations
• Supporting production teams in daily operations
All work environments comply with German labor laws and safety standards.
Salary & Working Conditions
• Salary: Starting from €15 per hour (before tax)
• Working Hours: 40 hours per week
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Employees are entitled to standard labor protections under German law, including regulated working hours, paid leave, and social security contributions.
Contract Duration & Career Progression
• Initial employment contract: 1 year
• Contract renewal: 3 years after successful completion of the first year
• Possibility of further extensions based on performance and employer needs

Accommodation
Accommodation is arranged by the employer or through employer-supported housing providers.
• Monthly housing cost: not exceeding €320
• Cost is paid monthly and deducted or settled as per employer arrangement
